Revelation – The Ultimate Examination Of Hearts
The Book of Revelation is a book of the ultimate examination of hearts and the ultimate cleansing, or we could say the exorcism of evil from the earth in an ultimate battle in a place represented by Megiddo, which is a spiritual showdown and exorcism of final evils from the earth.
There are the seven heads of the dragon and if you remember there were also seven nations Israel was to cleanse (exorcise) from the Promised Land.
An element often missed in the unfolding drama in Revelation is the opening of the seven seals and the manifestation of judgments, again, whose very purpose is to turn the hearts of men, and as we read we realize there is a connection between the judgments and their initiation being directly in response to the prayers of persons known as the saints;
And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and the twenty four elders fell down before the Lamb, every one of them having harps and golden vials full of odors which are the prayers of the saints...
And I saw as the Lamb opened one of the seals and I heard what sounded like the noise of thunder, and one of the four beasts saying, 'Come and see (Revelation 5:8 & 6:1).
And another angel came and stood at the altar having a golden censer and there was given to him a great deal of incense that he should offer it with the prayers of all the saints upon the altar which was before the throne.
And the smoke of the incense which came with the prayers of the saints ascended up before God out of the angels’ hand. And the angel took the censer and filled it with fire from the altar and cast it into the earth and there were voices and thunders and lightening and an earthquake.
And it was then that the seven angels who had the care and possession of the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound (Revelation 8:3-6).
Cause and effect. Cause and effect. The prayers of the saints cause the effects designed to bring hearts to the awareness of another way bathed in the mercies and kindness of God if they will open their hearts to receive.
Much is said in scripture under the heading of the word saints, but one thing is certain and that is the saints are those ones who are set apart solely for the purposes of God in the earth, having come into a state of wholeness in relation to Him, which I thought was the point of coming to Jesus Christ, but apparently some people aren't getting that message.
For those whose hearts are in that state of unified existence with Jesus Christ by the Spirit of God in them, there are a myriad of what one might call “ultra”-promises God gives to that one.
It is consistent with the teachings of Jesus in which he said, “To the one who has, will more be given” underlying the idea of progressive growth and revelation as our minds are expanded and renewed by the Spirit of God.
But there is something else that emerges in the idea of saints, these enlightened bearers of light, and that is that they are considered in the economy of God to be a “warrior class” of His children.
Engaging with Jesus in bringing forward the ultimate purpose includes us entering into the warrior status, if we will continue listening, not choosing the 'opt out' button along the way. The trainings of God in our lives are incrementally taking us there, to the warrior status.
And Enoch, the seventh from Adam prophesied regarding these saying, 'The Lord appears with tens of thousands of His saints (enlightened bearers of light), and it is so He might execute judgment on all that are in opposition to God among them, regarding all their opposed to God deeds, which they have opposed to God committed, in all their harsh speeches, which opposed to God violators have spoken against Him (Jude 1:14-15).
And the LORD will appear and fight against all those nations (massing swarms) like He fought in the day of battle...and the LORD my God will appear and all the saints (enlightened bearers of light) with Him (Zechariah 14:3-5).
I looked carefully and saw that the same horn was able to make war toward the saints (enlightened bearers of light) until the Ancient of Days arrived, until judgment (legal right enforced) was given to the saints of the Most High and the season was reached that the saints should possess the kingdom (Daniel 7:21-22).
To bind their kings with chains and their nobles with bands of iron, to execute on them the judgment as it is written. This honor belongs to all of those who are His saints (Psalm 149:8-9).
If you have somewhere along the line 'opted out', I suggest you retrace your steps and reselect your options.
It is still possible.
High adventure waits you.
