ZENITH KALEO - What do you mean: Kaleo?
Updated: Jul 9, 2019
Have you ever considered the idea of your own pre-existence?
"What?", you might be saying. "Pre-existence? Now I know Rand has really slipped a cog...maybe even two or three of them!"
You're right. I'm as crazy as God the Father, Jesus and his apostles and I'm as crazy as the Holy Spirit.
Pre-existence. That's right. Think about it.
The idea that you existed before you existed, if that makes any sense, and that here at a certain point in time you, who actually had an essence before your physical birth into time as we consider it, already had in some unknown place, a previous state of being.
There is a place of pre-existence and that place is in the thoughts, or we could say the frequency or Spirit, sound, expression, or word of God, the Creator of all existence. There is nothing that appears in the cosmos apart from a Word spoken by God (see John 1:1-4). This includes you.
God? Yes, God.
God who is difficult to describe because of the heights and depths and length and breadth of what is known to be the essence of all information at an eternal and infinite level, all capacity at an eternal and infinite level, all sufficiency, all being, all life, all love, all joy, and all this and more at an eternal, never ending...always is...unbound by time or space level, who being so extensively vast, is yet remarkably personal in relation to each and every one of us.
Nothing escapes the observation of God.
Not to get sidetracked, but there is a reason why the followers of Jesus Christ are so deeply concerned about the unborn child and it is because of the knowledge they possess like that which is stated in the ancient scripture below;
"I praise You (God) because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from You when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in Your book before one of them came to be.
How precious to me are Your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them!
Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand-- when I awake, I am still with You." (Psalm 139:14-18 NIV)
I call it pre-existence. Following the appearance of Jesus Christ and the Son of God teachings he delivered to mankind, his apostles spoke of pre-existence using a term translated as the 'foreknowledge' of God and attached to it the idea of 'predestination'.
Predestination speaks to us of a destiny that was prepared in advance. It's like having a roadmap and a route mapped out before you take off on an important trip somewhere.
Like I mentioned in a previous post, "If you don't know where you're going, you'll probably end up somewhere else" (famous quote allegedly by New York Yankees catcher Yogi Berra).
Too many people are winding up somewhere else, but it doesn't have to be this way.
If you look again at the passage of scripture above, you will notice something amazing where it says, "Your eyes saw my unformed body...all the days ordained for me were written in Your book before one of them came to be."
What? God saw your unformed body?
But even more so, there is a storybook in heaven, in the dimension of the spirit realm, that is a storybook all about you, and in your storybook God has written unique things that were ordained well in advance for you and you only, and every one of those thoughts He has written there about you are precious as it says, and the book is full of the precious thoughts, outnumbering the sand on all the beaches of the world.
Go ahead. Go to the nearest beach and start counting. When you're done there go find another beach and start up where you left off. Keep counting until you've counted every grain of sand.
You may say to all of this, "Unbelievable!" Or, you may realize the depths of your own significance to God and the significance of your birth or any other person's birth for that matter.
Here is a connecting scripture to the Post Jesus writings;
"For we are His (God's) workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them." (Eph 2:10)
We are working towards an understanding of the Greek word 'Kaleo'. It is an important word. It is a word that speaks to this very idea of our pre-existence and those things that have existed for us in the mysterious vast reaches of God, things meant to be our story...and it is a good story.
Can we connect with it? Is it possible?
Kaleo tells us that it is.
But because the story rests in God, we will have to become 'Theocentric' if we are to find the truth of our story and begin to merge our own days with the power of what is written.
So, what do we mean by Kaleo?
Kaleo is a word that searches deeply into us. In fact, Kaleo reaches so deep it touches on our own creation and our divine destiny. It reaches out to us, quite possibly the lost us we know is there but so much has happened that it no longer seems real and possible, but it is, because the Kaleo never leaves. God has not changed the story.
Why are you here? Do you remember?
Kaleo is an ancient word with spiritual meaning. It is the word from which we get our English word 'calling' and calling is something that reaches out and beyond, into the eternal dimension where words from God, the very fountainhead of all life itself, creates everything with a beauty and purpose in mind, and this includes you.
You are no accident of nature.
You have value that touches the eternal and infinite.
There is an image and word of wholeness existing on an eternal scale that describes the true you perfectly.
It is there in your deep memory even though it may be hard right now for you to hear the words of your own magnificent story, written by God.
The Call is an eternal actuality because it was born outside of time and within you now lay the potentiality to be become what it beckons you to become and because it was born outside of time, it's never too early or too late to begin walking according to its path.
All it needs first is your welcome of the Writer for in the Writer is contained all that is written.
Just for fun...here is a link to Bob Dylan's song 'Every Grain of Sand' sung by EmmyLou Harris.
In the next blog we will connect the ideas of' Zenith Kaleo'.
